Who We Are

Our website address is: https://onedollarauction.net.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.

An anonymized string created from your email address (called a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar privacy policy is available at:
https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval, your profile picture is visible to the public alongside your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images that include embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors can extract location data from such images.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience and last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, cookies will store your login info and display preferences. Login cookies last two days; display settings last one year. If you select “Remember Me”, login persists for two weeks. Logging out removes these cookies.

If you edit or publish a post, an extra cookie is stored indicating the post ID. It expires after one day.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as if you visited the original website.

These sites may collect data, use cookies, embed tracking, and monitor your interaction with their content — including if you’re logged into those sites.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.

For registered users (if any), we store the personal info they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their data anytime (except username). Admins can also see and edit it.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of your personal data or request that we erase it. This excludes data we’re obliged to keep for legal, security, or administrative purposes.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
